There are various oils flooding in the market but there are specific ones that when you mix them you can get a beautiful result that can benefit your hair strands.

I’ll introduce you to some great oils and why you need to give them a try and we will get into some mixing!

Ylang-ylang oil

People start using ylang-ylang oil for 2 weeks and saw that their hair started to grow, and grow strong so it’s a great oil to add into an oil mix.

Lavender oil

This is another essential oil that must be mixed with a carrier oil to promote effective hair growth and thickening.

Lavender is an antibacterial that helps with dandruff and itching so if you’re experiencing something like that it should work for you.

A gentle scalp massage with lavender can help soothe tension and invigorate your scalp while it increases your blood flow.

With time you will see your hair growing at a healthier pace.

Coconut Oil

Coconut oil is good for your hair, skin, nails because his oil penetrates.

You can use it for hydration by applying it after showering or to provide more hydration for your hair when you are manipulating it.

Let’s not forget that the smell is so delightful.

plus this oil is the only oil that moisturizes your hair.

OLIVE OIL

There is a reason so many of your favorite beauty brands use this powerhouse of an ingredient. Olive oil hydrates. It’s used in products to make your hair silky and smooth. Use this before you shampoo, or apply heat for a killer hot-oil treatment that will provide soft tresses.

Almond Oil

I know that many love the sweet smell of almond oil and use it as a fragrance in their mixtures.

This oil works as a sealant in order to lock in moisture it is also great for thinning hair.

Jojoba Oil

Jojoba oil is the closest molecular structure to your hair sebum (that’s the natural oil of the scalp).

it’s perfect for hydrating your hair because it’s 98 percent monounsaturated fats and two percent saturated fats.

It can help in shrinkage which happens to our curly hair after its been wet.

Castor Oil

This oil is a  carrier oil and it helps control frizz, promote growth, thickening, and helps with hair loss.

Castor oil also helps with any scalp infections that you may be dealing with.

The reason is this: Castor Oil is crammed full of omega 3-s, Vitamin E, and protein.

Grapeseed Oil

Grapeseed oil has fatty amino acids that help in promoting hair growth and preventing breakage.

It also contains Vitamin E which is a known oil for thickening natural hair.

Cedarwood Oil

is an essential oil that is often not mentioned or cast aside for the other popular oils used in the natural hair community.

Cedarwood oil is an essential oil that is beneficial in thickening natural hair when mixed with a carrier oil such as Jojoba or Olive oil.

Rosemary Oil

Rosemary oil promotes follicle growth if properly used or stimulated.

Rosemary oil is also great during the summer, or for people who live in dry areas year round because Rosemary oil is able to help restore hair that has been exposed to sun damage or pollutants.

You should always dilute or mix it with a carrier oil because it is an essential oil.

Vitamin E

I’ve mentioned Vitamin E in a few other oils, but using pure Vitamin E is also just as simply effective. Vitamin E helps with regeneration of cells which is why it is so beneficial for skin care and hair care.

Babassu Oil

Babassu Oil is the cousin or close sibling of coconut oil.

It contains the same vitamins/minerals but has a much lighter consistency. Babassu oil seems to be very effective for ladies whose natural hair doesn’t get along with coconut oil.

Is There A Hair Grease That Grows Hair For Real?

Now that you know why these oils are great here are some great ways to mix these oils for hair growth and length retention.

  1. Coconut, Castor & Almond oil
  • Take 3–4 teaspoons of Coconut oil.
  • To it add 1 teaspoon of Castor oil and 1 teaspoon Pure Almond oil (I use Roghan badam shirin)
  • Warm the mixture a bit and do not heat.
  • Apply this on the scalp and massage well.
  • Keep it overnight and wash the next morning.

Remember that Castor oil should be used only after mixing with a carrier oil.

Homemade hair growth recipe:

  1. Take 7–8 Amla.
  2. Cut it into small pieces removing the seed.
  3. Heat Coconut oil in a pan and add the pieces of Amla.
  4. Then add a handful of Curry leaves and 3–4 Hibiscus flower to it.
  5. Heat the mixture till Amla, Curry leaves and Hibiscus flowers turn black.
  6. Switch off the gas and let the mixture cool.
  7. Strain the oil and store it in a plastic/glass bottle.
  8. Apply this oil on scalp and hair twice a week for thick hair.

Continue this for at least 2–3 months for better results.

Brilliant Sealant Mix

This recipe contains some mix of oils for shine, anti‐frizz and moisture.

It also has some great occlusive properties similar to a silicone oil mix except there’s no silicone in it.

Castor oil is a rather unique oil, full of unique fatty acids and similar “humectant” qualities of the well-known vegetable glycerin.

The Easy Pre Poo For Hair Growth Formula That Works!

Try mixing castor oil with other oils with characteristics of jojoba that mimics our own scalp’s sebum, you’re bound to experience an intense moisture, making for an amazing length retaining potion.

In a small glass bowl mix the following oils.

  • 1oz  castor oil
  • 1 oz jojoba oil
  • ½ oz grapeseed oil
  • ½ oz vegetable oil

Stir until they appear to be a homogenous mix.

I use this oil mix immediately after washing my hair and follow up with a leave in.

This mix can help keep your hair moisturized for a good week.

The Itch repeller Oil Mix

The base oil of this mix is neem oil.

Neem oil is a natural anti‐fungal, anti‐bacterial, anti‐septic, anti‐viral, and anti‐bug (such as lice) remedy.

When you combine this oil with rosemary oil you will get a very powerful oil mix for your scalp (it kind of stinks tho).

Combine in a bowl

  • 2 oz organic neem oil
  • 6–8 drops rosemary oil

Neem doesn’t sting at all, and it feels like a very fatty type oil but you should do a little skin test on a hidden part of your body just to make sure you won’t have any adverse reaction to this potent mix at least 24 hours before applying a few drops to your scalp. You can also dilute the neem oil with another oil (1:5 ratio).

Try to dilute it if you already know you have sensitive skin.

Apply just a few drops to the troubled areas on your scalp.

Massage it in and let it sit for an hour or so.

Rinse it off with a water and apple cider vinegar mix or follow up with an anti‐itch or anti‐dandruff shampoo.

Do this weekly for a few weeks.

Stop using this mix if you find that your symptoms increase or you experience a negative reaction.

Last extra Moisture Sealing Tips:

If you feel a oil isn’t sealing enough, try a soft but thick butter like Raw Shea Butter.

On the other hand, if you feel butters and oils just aren’t for you then you can try sealing your hair, after applying your leave-in, with Pure Aloe Vera Juice.

Since it’s acidic is perfect for closing the cuticle.
