A good thing to do is to wash your hair weekly but it also depends on the style you’re currently wearing.
You do not necessarily need to wash with a shampoo weekly but you must let your hair touch water which will help with the moisture.

You can also try washing with water or conditioner weekly and washing with shampoo bi-weekly.
