Rather than wasting money on a variety of solutions, you may manage your dry hair with some natural items you already have in your kitchen.

1. Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Olive oil is arguably the most popular DIY dry hair ingredient because it’s high in Vitamin E and antioxidants, which assist to mend damaged hair by increasing cuticle health. Olive oil is frequently used as a hot oil hair treatment to help strengthen, luster, and hydrate dry hair.

How to: In a warm water bath, warm a sufficient amount of olive oil. Then apply it to your hair after it’s completely dry. For at least 30 minutes, cover your hair with a fleece hat, towel, or heating cap. After that, shampoo and thoroughly condition your hair. This therapy should be performed at least once a week.

2. Mayonnaise

Mayonnaise is high in fat, protein, and oils, all of which aid in the treatment of dry hair and the healing of damage. It also gives the hair a lustrous sheen and suppleness.

Apply around a cup of full-fat mayonnaise to your dry hair. Allow the product to sit in your hair for about an hour after covering it with a plastic cap. After rinsing the substance out of your hair with cool water, shampoo and condition your hair. This treatment should be repeated once a week for best effects.

3. The egg

Protein, lecithin, and fat are all found in eggs, and they all help to strengthen and restore damaged and lifeless hair.

Combine three eggs, two tablespoons olive oil, and one tablespoon honey in a mixing bowl. This mixture should be applied to damp hair and scalp. Allow to sit for 30 minutes after covering with a plastic cap. After rinsing with cool water, shampoo and condition your hair. To get rid of the strong egg smell, use a sweet-smelling shampoo and conditioner, or add a few drops of essential oils like lemon grass, jasmine oil, or lemon oil to your hair.

4. Honey

Is a humectant, which means it attracts moisture to the hair, keeps it moist longer, softens it, adds gloss, and improves elasticity. Honey is a popular DIY ingredient for dry hair because of this.

To make your deep conditioner, combine two tablespoons honey, four tablespoons olive oil, and two tablespoons glycerin. Apply to freshly cleansed hair and cover with a plastic cap, then wrap hair in a heating cap and leave for at least 45 minutes.

Avocado’s saturated fats, vitamins A and E, and protein are excellent for dry, damaged hair. Avocado also strengthens your hair and adds moisture to damaged hair shafts.

How to make it: Mash one ripe avocado with one tablespoon olive oil, jojoba oil, and honey, if preferred. Blend this combination in a blender for a smoother paste; this way, you won’t end up with avocado chunks in your hair. Apply the mixture from the roots to the ends of freshly cleaned hair. Using a shower hat, cover your hair. Allow it to sit for 30 minutes before shampooing with lukewarm water.

8. Bananas

Bananas contain a lot of potassium and moisture, which softens and improves the flexibility of your hair.
How to Do It: Blend one ripe banana, one tablespoon almond oil, and two teaspoons honey in a blender. This hair mask should be properly applied to your hair. Allow it to sit for 20 to 30 minutes before rinsing thoroughly with lukewarm water.

9. Apple Cider Vinegar

Vinegar aids in the removal of product build-up, the restoration of the scalp’s natural pH level, and the treatment of itching and dandruff. When the hair is clean, it is able to absorb moisture and maintain a healthy level of moisture.

Mix one cup of water with half a cup of apple cider vinegar. After you’ve washed your hair, rinse it with the solution. Allow it to sit for 10 minutes before thoroughly rinsing it.

10. Yogurt with Coconut Milk

This mixture was once referred to as a natural relaxer because it softens and improves the texture of your hair. When I tested this combination, I got a fantastic result.

In a small mixing dish, combine equal parts yogurt and coconut milk. You can also use olive or coconut oil to provide a slipping effect. Apply the mixture to thoroughly clean hair and leave on for 20 minutes before rinsing with room temperature water. You have the option of styling your hair or doing a co-wash to remove the yogurt smell.
