Once you determine your hair type you are on a good path!

Let’s check what a good daily natural hair regimen consists of:

Daily Natural Hair Regimen

Moisturizing

Moisture is so important for our hair type that you can’t really see good results without working your moisture game.

What is moisture and why you need it?

Moisture is extreemly important because our hair is naturally dry and we need moisture in order to prevent our hair from breakage.

Sealing Your Natural Hair with Oils

Sealing happens most of the time after a good moisture session.

What is sealing?

Sealing is what takes place right after you moisturize your natural hair.

The moisture needs to remain on your hair strands and we seal in that moisture with an oil.

What are some good oils for sealing?

From my personal experience I love Olive oil, Jamaican Black Castor Oil and why not shea butter melted.

There are so many oils that you can try.

Some lighter than the other. Here is a good list of some oils that works great for hair sealing.

Shampooing

Shampooing is what you do in order to keep your hair clean.

Why do you need to shampoo your hair?

Because no one needs a dirty scalp and hair strands.

What if shampooing is too harsh for my hair?

yep it’s possible, then I would recommend you doing more of co-washes.

What is a co-wash?

Cowash is when you wash your natural hair with a conditioner rather than a shampoo.

It works as a light cleanser and doesn’t strip the hair of it’s moisture!

Deep Conditioning

Deep conditioning your natural hair is like feeding it.

When your hair is tired after a week of manipulation and exposure to the natural elements you need to condition it.

That’s why it’s recommended to deep condition once a week or every two weeks.

Detangling

Detangling is nessesary if you don’t want to remain with dead hair that have locked up between your hair strands.

What I recommend you doing is detangling your hair with conditioner right after you’ve wash it.

This way your hair is soft enough to be handled.

I still remember when i was little and older people was doing my hair..

The worst part?

DETANGLING!!

The paid was … no comment..

Let’s learn from what we’ve been through and work towards a better tomorrow for us and our children!

Doing Hot Oil Treatments

Hot oil treatmens are great when it comes to natural hair because they not only help with your hair health.

They are also useful for helping to stimulate blood flow, as well as helping with hair growth, and they provide many benefits to help deal with common hair care and styling issues such as dandruff, dry scalp, frizziness, moisture and much more.

Trimming

Trimming is so important.

I mean why do many of us stick with thinning ends when we know that we need to get rid of them?

It’s a thing of the mind.

Some times we need to get bold and go ahead and trim away the hair that’s keeping us from progressing.

I Love this post becuase I list some of the benefits of trimming and how to get one at home.

In other words, don’t skip trimming!

Steaming

According to this post, Steaming the hair allows the hair cuticle to lift or open to easily allow products to penetrate the hair, giving your hair the nutrients it needs to get into thehair strands. One of the most obvious and immediatebenefits of steaming hair is eliminating dryhair.

Choose the Right Hair Style Daily

When it comes to styling your natural hair the options are endless.

There are so many styles you can do that will not only give you a new look but also give your hair some time to rest.
