Amazing Ways On How To Regrow Hair Naturally In 3 Weeks That Works

You might notice more hair going down the drain in the shower or more strands left on your hairbrush than usual at first. And, according to Joshua Zeichner, MD, director of cosmetic and clinical research in dermatology at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City, those figures are likely to be off because women are often too embarrassed to discuss it. Women lose their hair for the same reasons men do, according to a widespread hair loss myth. “However, the pattern of FPHL differs from that of male pattern hair loss,” says Francesca J. Fusco, MD, assistant clinical professor of dermatology at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. “It’s usually diffuse, frontal, or temporal, and it’s passed down through female relatives.” While male pattern hair loss has received far more attention than female pattern hair loss, we do know that it is at least partly genetic and linked to androgen hormones, particularly dihydrotestosterone (DHT). In other words, hair loss can be caused by a variety of factors other than genes, such as stress, food, and other lifestyle variables.

Stress is reduced.

“Hair loss can be caused by significant psychosocial stress,” says Dr. Zeichner. Stress causes hairs to enter the “resting” phase, in which they all fall out at once. This is known as telogen effluvium. Dr. Zeichner notes, “This is the same type of syndrome that women often suffer after giving birth or after a major surgical surgery.” “Rapid thinning of the hair along the temples is common in these patients.” Finding stress-reduction practices, such as meditation, yoga, going to the gym, or adopting a mantra, is critical.

Keep an eye on what you eat.

“Protein is essential for healthy hair,” explains Dr. Fusco. “Good sources include lean meat, fish, chicken, and legumes. Iron is also crucial; a lack of it can cause anemia, which can cause hair loss. The good news is that this form of hair loss can be reversed with the right diet and treatment.” Biotin and zinc deficiency has also been linked to hair loss, while magnesium is required for good hair growth.

Consider taking a multivitamin.

According to Dr. Zeichner, taking a natural vitamin supplement meant to promote hair growth, as well as multivitamins, can assist. Nutrafol ($88; and Viviscal ($130 for 180 tablets; are the two most popular hair supplements on the market that have been tested and shown to help promote healthy hair, according to Dr. Zeichner.

Apply a topical therapy to the affected area.

Minoxidil, also known as Women’s Rogaine ($44 for a 4-month supply;, is the only topical treatment for hair loss in women that has been approved by the FDA. According to Dr. Zeichner, “Topical minoxidil is the gold standard of treatment.” “It improves healthy transport of oxygen and nutrients to the hair follicle and helps lengthen the active development stage of hairs.”

Consider using essential oils.

Essential oils may be worth a try as a natural alternative to Rogaine. Alopecia areata patients in one tiny trial massaged rosemary, peppermint, thyme, and lavender into their scalps daily with a mixture of jojoba or grapeseed oil, while a control group utilized simply the oils. In the essential oils group, 44% of the subjects improved, compared to only 15% in the control group. Before using minoxidil or essential oils on your scalp, consult your dermatologist.

Take good care of your hair.

Another technique to keep your strands in good shape is to treat them carefully at all times. That means no hard combing and no brushing of wet or thin hair. Avoid pulling styles like tight ponytails and updos. Towel drying too vigorously can cause breaking. Avoid everyday blowouts and over-styling, both of which irritate the scalp.

Get rid of your dandruff

Another unexpected perpetrator? Dandruff. “Inflammation can lead to excessive shedding as flaking builds up or if the scalp itches and scratching occurs,” Dr. Fusco notes. “I see this a lot because women don’t use their dandruff shampoo on a daily basis because the ones they’ve tried are therapeutic rather than cosmetic. “Easily solved with a product like Dove DermaCare Scalp Pure Daily Care ($5;, which combines dandruff-fighting Zinc Pyrithione in a nourishing, pleasantly perfumed formulation designed for everyday use.”

How to camouflage losing hair

It could take months for your hair to regrow (and truthfully, it may not grow back at all). In the interim, pay a visit to your hairdresser to lessen the appearance of hair loss. A good haircut and a few simple styling tips can easily fool the eye into thinking your hair is fuller. “Long or short layers can make a huge difference,” Dr. Fusco explains. “To give your hair a lift, change your part periodically, and use volumizers and dry shampoos.”

Batiste Dry Shampoos ($6; are great for adding volume to your hair. Trimming even a couple of inches off your hair will instantly enhance volume, remove the additional weight of longer hair, and help conceal any thinning areas. If you don’t want to go shorter, layer your hair to frame your face and hide fine hairlines.

According to Dr. Fusco, you can conceal thinning spots with spray-on root touchup treatments or even eyeshadow. For a quick repair, use Madison Reed Root Touch Up ($30; There are a variety of hair mascaras that may be used to hide growing out roots while also adding volume to the appearance. How To Regrow Hair Naturally In 3 Weeks
